Metro technician setting up air movers in a finished basement after a water loss
Restoration first

Water damage doesn't wait. Neither do we.

A burst pipe, a failed water heater or a flooded basement can soak into drywall, subfloors and framing within hours. Our certified crew extracts the water, finds the moisture you can't see, and dries the structure back to normal.

  • Water extraction from carpet, hardwood, tile and basements
  • Moisture mapping with meters to find wet walls and subfloors
  • Structural drying with commercial air movers and dehumidifiers
  • Controlled demolition of materials that can't be saved

Finished basements, mid-dry

Two basement water losses during drying. Wet flooring and baseboards came out, then air movers, dehumidifiers and an air scrubber went in to dry the slab and walls while the family's belongings stayed covered and out of the way.

FAQ

Questions homeowners ask

Does Metro Home Improvement work directly with my insurance company?

Yes. We bill your insurance company directly for covered water damage restoration and rebuild work, so you are not stuck paying out of pocket and waiting to be reimbursed. You remain responsible for your deductible and any work your policy doesn't cover.

What areas of New Jersey do you serve?

We're based in Ridgefield Park and serve Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Hudson, Morris and Union counties, including Hackensack, Teaneck, Paramus, Clifton, Wayne, Fairfield, Newark, Montclair, Jersey City, Hoboken, Parsippany, Morristown, Elizabeth and Westfield.

Are your technicians certified?

Our restoration technicians hold IICRC certifications. The IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification) sets the industry standards for water damage restoration, including the ANSI/IICRC S500 standard.

Can one company handle both the water cleanup and the repairs?

Yes. That is the core of what we do: we mitigate and dry the property, then rebuild it, including sheetrock, flooring, painting and roofing, so you deal with one contractor from the first call to the final walkthrough.
